Buy a List

Our buy a list data option allows users to buy a one-time use acquisition list. An acquisition list can help an organization to acquire additional donations from a potential pool of new donors. The end user can specify a location (distance around an address, City, County, or State) as well as refine their selection by applying demographic variable filters to their data selection. Apply a demographic variable filter allows you to get the best possible match to your new potential donor base.

1. Select a list type: Individual or Business

2. Enter the number of records you would like to purchase for your campaign.
   (located in the upper right gray box of the dialog)

3. Navigate to and Select the Geography Tab

You have (3) options for your geographic selections:

1. Whole USA – pulls names from the entire USA
2. Zip, City, County or State – you can limit your data down to a more generalized area

A. Select Zip, City, County or State from the list


B. Enter a Zip, City, County or State in the input box


C. After inputting your Zip, City, County or State; select the appropriate query that populates below the input box


D. If you have more than one ZIP, City, County, or State that you would like to pull your data from, then repeat steps i – iii until you have added all the required geographic areas of interest

Note: If you add a geographic area that you didn’t intend, you can remove it from the selects pane by selecting the trash can next to the specific area you would like to remove

E. Once you’ve added all your geographic areas of interest, navigate to and select the Demography tab

3. Radius Around an Address – input an address and then select a radius around that address
   A. Select the Radius around an Address from the list
   B. Enter an address within the input box, then press the magnify glass to the right of the input box

C. Select the radius around the specified location in which you would like to apply your geographic filter, by default 2 miles I selected.

D. Once you’ve added your geographic areas of interest and specified a radius, navigate to and select the Demography tab

4. Navigate through the Demographic options and mark the check marks to make changes to the demographic selections. As you make changes they will be reflected in the “Your Selects” pane on the right side of the dialog
   
5. When finished making all geographic and demographic selections you have two options:
   • Preview List – will show you a redacted sampling of your data selection
   • Buy List – will take you to the next steps to finalize your list
6. When ready, press the “Buy List” button
7. A user agreement will be presented and will need to be agreed to prior to proceeding. If you would still like to proceed, press the “I Agree” button
   
8. You will then need to go through the steps for Match List
